gabe and cory and jared and i rode bikes to downtown, with the stereo in jared's basket playing modest mouse. we borrowed donna and andy's bikes so we had enough. �it was fun to ride with lots of people, in the sun. �we rode along the waterfront, and locked our bikes at saturday market so we could wander around. �there were people doing this brazilian dancing/fighting thing, with music, that i watched for a while. �we walked to powell's and stayed there for a really long time, looking at books and drinking way too much coffee. �then we went to a japanese restaurant and got lots of vegetarian stuff that was really good. �gabe ate really large amounts of wasabi, plain. �he said it feels good. �we played a game. �choose: round or square? forest or desert? boots or sandels? misery or oblivion? train or boat? etc. �[square, forest, sandals, misery, train]

when we got home, we went to a show at the red and black. �p:ano, thanksgiving, and little wings. �it was really good. �especially the middle band, who yelled alot.

then we sat on the porch for a long time with a bunch of people. �andy made a table for the porch and we had lots of chairs. �i played bright eyes and elliott smith on guitar, yelling over all the drunk people. �after everyone went to the reel 'em in tavern (!!), andy and i sat for a long time and talked, i was wrapped in a blanket. �we decided that we like to watch each other smoke. �when i got tired i went upstairs, and my back hurt, so i did yoga in the bathroom while gabe flossed his teeth extensively. �he said he hopes he knows me when we get old.
