jared: we are all spiritual partners.

donna: then why do i take some people as lovers and not others?

jared: fantasy.

but the more that i saw you burn it the more i only felt the same.

today my boy called from another state and said he would be home tonight. right now, actually. but whos keeping track.

i took too much klonopin and fell asleep, when i woke up donna and i went on a mission to find coffee for me and a drink for her, with many obstacles along the way.

the red and black was too crowded because there was some live music. palio looked nice but some people we wanted to avoid were sitting inside so we turned around and walked right back to division. walking east. pix is closed on monday. haven is now only open till 9. by the time we got to saigon kitchen at 10 it was just closing. toms was closed too. how hard is it to get some coffee on a monday night? pretty hard. we finally walked up 37th to hawthorne and went to the baghdad, where i got my coffee and donna got her beer and we ate some food. we were hungry after all that walking.

our secondary mission was to find clues. we found a lot of clues.

red doors, red painted walls, red lights.
cats on porches, cats that ran to meet us on the sidewalk. cats in gardens.
hammocks on porches and in gardens.
a monkey puzzle tree that had been previously overlooked.
butterfly stained glass.
a scarecrow sitting on a porch swing.
rare lichen on the sidewalk with a slug on it.
the feathery bastard donna said. a japanese maple turning yellowy gold feathery leaves.
diamond windows and a mask hanging from the wall.
a cat that kept coming close to us and then darting off when we tried to touch it. it was tripped out donna said. maybe if we follow it, it will lead us to acid.
look at that moat she said. its a trough! what was it really? a path leading to a basement door, a cement path into the earth. a moat.
overgrown gardens. trees arching over the sidewalk.
plants growing up around us like a tunnel.
a spiral staircase. a treehouse.

create the clues and the world follows.

at least we saw it once and it wasnt lost on anyone.
