after work, i sat on nicollet mall and ate a sandwich, and decided that i deserved to buy myself a present with my tip money. but the strange thing is, when you go for a really long time without having any money to spare, and you get used to going without everything, when you finally do have money you don't know what to do with it. not that i couldn't think of anything to buy-- i could think of way too many things to buy. with $40 in my wallet i felt super-rich, but what is my first priority, now that i have enough to buy something frivolous? records, clothes, fruit, books... so many choices, but when you start spending money it goes so fast and my $40 would be gone in no time. but i ended up buying a new bright eyes record for $10, "there is no beginning to the story", which i'm listening to right now. i haven't bought new music for sooooo long.

gabe is lying on the bed in his underwear. he doesn't feel well. his mom is coming over soon and she's going to take us to the malt shop.

jade finally found dream boy. there was this boy she saw on the street one day who she thought was her perfect boy, and they both looked at each other and he motioned for her to come talk to him, but she didn't... and ever since then she's been on the hunt for dream boy. and yesterday she finally saw him again, and he came over. it turns out his name is lance and he thought she was dream girl too... it's all very cute.
